The Challenge

One of the biggest challenges was the high volume of information that needed to be housed on-site. The site also needed to be able to cater for different members with different levels of access to on-site content. It was essential to have a way to ensure that information throughout the site would remain accurate and consistent.

This website needed to achieve multiple goals: Increase online sales, while also increasing people who visited the website and sought design consultations. On face, these goals aren’t easily described in the same sentence, so we chose a path of displaying the many custom storage solutions had redesigned. Through this strategy, we focused on the California Closets persona. By defining the “who”, there was less urgency to communicate the “what”.

Our charge was to craft this new story through a unique mix of story and commerce; a combination of an editorial platform and massive ecommerce experience.

California Closets embraced this challenge and gave Yunik Digital the freedom to lead it into completely new design territory.

it was important to implement a B2B strategy in addition to a B2C strategy. B2B marketing included ads targeted at users with particular interests on social media, as well as email campaigns targeted at people in the construction and contracting industries. Yunik Digital also targeted professionals in those industries by researching industry-specific keywords and incorporating them into the SEO strategy.
